Yoga continues to play a larger role in breast cancer rehabilitation every day.
Whether it is emotional, physical or psychological, the contribution that practicing yoga is being researched everyday by major hospitals and cancer centers throughout the world;
- Mayo Clinic.
- M.D. Anderson at the University of Texas.
- Albert Einstein Cancer Center at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
- Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
- University of Rochester Medical Center and many more, is a testament to the fact that Yoga is very powerful in healing.
This past weekend, I was fortunate to be able to receive my Certification for Breast Cancer Yoga and will be practicing in South Florida. My training was at A Jewel in the Lotus Yoga studio in Islip Long Island.
My instructor was Angela Strynkowski, 200 E-RYT, 500 RYT, owner. Angela believes yoga and meditation are medicine for the body, mind and soul.
I am humbled by the opportunity to work with many wonderful practitioners in Yoga and the medical field.
